Marketing Coordinator

Title: MARKETING COORDINATOR 

Reports to: CTL Executive Director

Type: Part-Time, Hourly. Position is available to be either remote, partially remote or completely in house depending on the candidate.  

Time Commitment: Up to 20 hours per week. 

Location: Community Theatre League, Williamsport, PA

Hourly Rate: $18-$22/hr

The Community Theatre League (Williamsport, PA) is searching for a Marketing Coordinator to help our team produce great content for our volunteers, patrons, families and community. The ideal candidate for this role is a detail-oriented individual with excellent time management and communication skills and the ability to manage a high volume of projects and resources efficiently and effectively. The ideal Marketing Coordinator candidate is a highly-organized, self-motivated and collaborative multi-tasker who is very comfortable with technical concepts.

This position manages the creation of content from project kickoff through the rounds of review and final approval stages-and is responsible for producing high-quality marketing and advertising. The Marketing Coordinator provides detailed content and ensures all content is delivered on schedule, within budget and of the highest quality.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Ensuring CTL’s brand is well represented in the community through excellent advertising and marketing including but not limited to press releases, purchasing ads in local print publications, creating and executing our advertising postcards for each production, all social media accounts and weekly email advertising. 

  • Creating marketing materials when requested to help with fundraising activities such as our annual campaign, Raise the Region, Evening with a Star or the Ray of Light Awards. 

  • Maintaining and updating CTL’s website in order to provide the most up to date information regarding auditions, volunteer opportunities, productions and classes. This would include copywriting, photography and continued maintenance as the organization grows and changes.

  • Creation of all playbills for each production including our Mainstage productions, our class performances and special events. 

  • Creating outdoor posters for the exterior of CTL’s building. 

  • Other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong customer service background

  • Strong ability to set clear priorities in dynamic environments to meet challenging deadlines.

  • Must have the ability to work with little supervision, be a self-starter, but also to excel in a team/group environment.

  • Proficiencies in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop; Google Suite; Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); Canva; Social Media Platforms; GetResponse 360

  • Experience measuring data and outcomes of events to determine marketing effectiveness 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of one to two years of experience in a theatre, major cultural institution or another comparable environment is desirable.

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends 

  • Must have up to date, or willing to apply for, Pennsylvania clearances and background checks.

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Associate Director of Advancement

Title: ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF ADVANCEMENT

Reports to: CTL Executive Director

Time Commitment: Full-Time, flexible hours

Location: Community Theatre League, Williamsport, PA

Salary Range: $36,000 - $42,000

The organization’s goal is to be both collaborator and catalyst, and to inspire the imagination of the audience and the artist through unforgettable shared experiences.

 

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Associate Director of Advancement will serve as a strategic partner as the Community Theatre League enters its 46th year of operation. As the lead member of the development team, the Associate Director of Advancement will bring focus and expertise to advance the organization’s development program and maximize its potential. They will serve as the principal fundraiser and strategist in collaboration with the Executive Director and CTL’s Board of Directors, which currently has 14 members. The Associate Director of Advancement will use innovative and traditional methods to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward new and existing donors. Mentoring and training both staff and board partners to leverage their passion and interest, this individual will establish a culture of philanthropy to support increased revenue and organizational and programmatic expansion.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Direct the conceptualization and orchestration of campaigns to meet annual and long-term fundraising goals.
  • With the assistance of the Executive Director and the Board of Directors, secure season sponsorships and advertisers. 
  • Network and maintain regular correspondence with current and prospective donors, advertisers and sponsors. 
  • Create and manage a portfolio of donors.
  • Report to the Board of Directors on matters involving fundraising, grants and donor relations.
  • Generate and organize the distribution of donor communications, newsletters and annual reports.
  • Lead grant writing process and identify new grant opportunities.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on finances.
  • Management of accounts receivable and accounts payable. 
  • Management of OvationTix, CTL’s ticketing software.
  • Contribute to the creation of print, digital and social media content pertaining to all things development-related.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated experience raising funds and examples of positive outcomes
  • Experience managing and tracking donor contributions and organizing gathered data
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends 
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks and Square
  • Must have up-to-date (or be willing to apply for) Pennsylvania clearances and background checks.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
